Getting on a Plane Is the Easy Part
A destination wedding is not a Toronto wedding in a nicer location. The vendors are new to you, the gear is borrowed, the power is unpredictable, and half your guests have travelled two days to be there and are running on very little sleep.
What that changes is the preparation. By the time I land I have already spoken to your planner, your DJ and the venue, and I know what happens if the sound cuts out during your first dance.

Mexico. Cancun. Jakarta. Dallas. Montreal. Winnipeg. Vancouver. Rochester. And a good deal of Ontario in between.
Couples routinely fly me in specifically because they have seen me host a wedding at home and want the same night abroad. That is the highest compliment this job offers.

Multi-day Celebrations
Most destination weddings are not one event. A welcome party, a Haldi, a Sangeet, the ceremony, the reception — five nights with five different jobs. The welcome party sets the tone for everything after it, and the reception cannot run on the same energy as the Sangeet.
We plan them as a set, in one conversation, rather than as five separate bookings.

Destination Wedding Questions
How does travel and accommodation work?
Quoted separately and transparently on top of the MC fee — flights, accommodation and ground transport at cost. You will see exactly what you are paying for.
How early do you arrive?
At minimum the day before, and earlier for multi-day celebrations. Arriving the morning of is how avoidable problems become unavoidable ones.
What if the local vendors do not speak English?
Common, and manageable. I coordinate through your planner, agree cues in advance, and rely on a run sheet everyone can follow without needing a shared language on the night.
What equipment do you need on site?
A working microphone and a sound system I can be heard through. I will confirm specifics with your DJ and venue well before the date, and I will tell you early if what is available is not going to be enough.
Can you host multiple events across the week?
Yes, and it is usually the better option. One MC across the week means the energy builds instead of resetting every night.
