By the time your guests arrive, the night has already been decided. The run sheet is agreed, your planner and DJ know every cue, the venue knows what happens if we run late, and I know how to pronounce every name I am going to say out loud.
None of this is visible on the day. That is the point — the preparation is what buys you a reception where nothing appears to be managed at all.
